DC Comics Movies & TV
Batman Begins
- The movies does a good job explaining how Batman’s tech works in a real world scenario.
- The little CGI there is hasn’t aged well. Nolan using practical effects is a god send.
- Part of the best Batman movies so far.
- There’s a number of similarities to Batman Year One, and they’re great.
- Rachel is kinda a bad character.
- Perhaps Bale’s best scenes as playboy Bruce are here.
Batman The Animated Series
It's a kids show, and that can be difficult to ignore as an adult. A lot of the plot is really straightforward. When it does venture out, it becomes amazing. During these moments you see the source of inspiration for a lot of the modern Batman character. Season 2 > Season 1.
Black Adam
- Story: 👍
- Cinematography: 👍
- Honor to Comics: 👍
- Dwayne Johnson is a surprisingly good Black Adam
Blue Beetle
- Audio: 👍
- Some nice Hispanic music
- Cinematography: 👍
- Story: 👍
- Stays true to the comics without restricting the plot
DC League of Super-Pets
- Plot/Story: 👍
- Animation: 👍
- Voice Acting: 👍
- Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson sound like themselves
Harley Quinn
- The story is engaging for what could've been mindless violence on TV.
- Bane is quite funny. Especially the voice.
Peacemaker
- DC outputs the best superhero content when they're on top of their game.
- Disney firing James Gunn is one of the best things to happen to the DCEU.
- All the characters are interesting and have good development.
Superman: Red Son
”I’m glad this movie didn’t end up being what I thought it would. After the first 10 minutes, I thought I’d guessed the story, but it went another way! I really like how Supes is portrayed in this. The takes on Batman, WW, and Green Lantern are also great. The story initially had me rooting for Russia and Superman (despite normally being against communism), and against Lex. As it goes on though, slowly I started rooting for Lex. Which in of itself is another great twist on the normal Superman story. I didn’t really care for Lois in this. Her being married to Lex didn’t feel right in my opinion.”
The Batman
- Both Penguin and Riddler are true to their comic counterparts.
- Very little Bruce Wayne, but that's on purpose. He hasn't learned the importance of both sides.
- Battinson gets shot a lot. His inexperience as Batman shows.
- Is that Venom he uses to get a second wind?
- Never uses a baterang.
- At worst this is tied with The Dark Knight for best Batman movie.
The Suicide Squad
Perhaps the best DC Comics movie since the Nolan Batman Trilogy. It's funny, creative, and the action is shot well. Starro is an excellent baddie to have the Squad fight. His final words as he's dying ("I was happy floating, staring, at the stars") make you sympathetic and realize he was a victim all along (much like the rest of the Squad!). The usage of lesser know DC characters was also great. It gave Gunn the freedom to kill them whenever it worked best. Rick Flag dying hits right in the feels. John Cena was great as Peacmaker. Idris Elba was great as Bloodsport. Margot Robbie was, as usual, great as Harley Quinn. King Shark was portrayed so well. It was refreshing for an animalistic character from DC to be comic accurate and not look like a human with shitty makeup. Looking forward to watching it again.

Zac Snyder's Justice League
Much better than the theatrical cut. It’s almost a shame that the sequel will never be made.
